Desmond Bane

Desmond Bane is an American professional basketball player for the Memphis Grizzlies in the NBA, widely recognized as one of the league’s most reliable shooters. Born on June 25, 1998, Bane played college basketball at TCU, where he developed a reputation for efficiency, toughness, and high basketball IQ.

Selected 30th overall in the 2020 NBA Draft, Bane quickly outperformed expectations. His elite three-point shooting, strong frame, and ability to score both on and off the ball made him a key piece in Memphis’ rise as a Western Conference contender. Unlike many role shooters, Bane has steadily expanded his game, adding shot creation, playmaking, and defensive physicality.

As part of the Grizzlies’ core, Desmond Bane represents the modern NBA guard: efficient, versatile, and impactful without needing constant spotlight. His work ethic and consistency have turned him into one of the most valuable two-way guards in the league.
